We Built a Coffee Generator. Here's Why.
Share
A few months ago, a customer emailed asking if we could make a custom coffee blend for her dad's birthday. She wanted it to taste like a campfire and smell like a pancake breakfast. She had a name picked out already.
We said yes, figured it out, and shipped it.
Then it happened again. And again.
After the third or fourth custom request, it became obvious we needed a better way to handle this than back-and-forth emails and a lot of guesswork.
So we built one.
What the Custom Coffee Designer Actually Does
It starts with a question: what's your vibe? Cozy? Bold? Sweet? Something for a specific person or occasion?
From there, you pick from over 70 flavor ingredients. Bourbon whiskey. French vanilla. Toasted hazelnut. Ceylon cinnamon. Things that smell like a bakery, a bonfire, a cocktail bar, or a holiday morning. You mix and match, give your creation a name, and we generate custom label art to go with it.
Then we roast it, flavor it, bag it, and ship it to you fresh.
No algorithm is selecting your coffee. No warehouse somewhere is fulfilling it. It's coming out of our roastery at 527 3rd Street in Libertyville, Illinois, the same way everything else we make does.
Why We Used AI for the Label Art
We get asked this. With hundreds of thousands of possible flavor combinations, we couldn't realistically illustrate every one by hand. So yes, the label artwork is AI-generated, based on the name and flavors you choose.
The coffee is not.
We thought it was worth saying plainly.
A Good Excuse to Do Something Personal
Father's Day. A birthday. A housewarming. A Wednesday when you just want something that's yours and no one else's.
Custom coffee is a genuinely fun gift, and it's the kind of thing people remember. Not because it was expensive, but because someone thought about them specifically.
That's what we built this for.
