This page covers everything a designer needs to build a custom label background for JavaMania Partner Connect.
Partner Connect labels are built in two layers. You supply the background image. The app prints the variable data — coffee name, grind, roast date, net weight, your business information — on top of it at fill time. You are designing the background layer only.

Dimensions are not a suggestion. Any file that is not 900 × 1500 is scaled to fit that canvas, so artwork at a different aspect ratio will be stretched. Build at 900 × 1500 exactly.
PNG is the only accepted format. We do not accept JPG, PDF, AI, EPS, or PSD.
Template
A pre-sized Canva template is linked inside the app on the Label Design screen, under "Upload your own." Start there and your dimensions will be correct.
What Partner Connect prints over your background
The app draws three stacked blocks anchored to the bottom of the label. Together they occupy 600 pixels (2.0″), beginning 865 pixels down from the top edge.
Name band — 195 px Your coffee name and tasting notes. The top 35 px of this band is a gradient that fades from transparent into your block color, so artwork immediately above it shows through partially.
Info grid — 180 px Two rows, two columns. Grind and regular/decaf on the top row; origin and net weight on the bottom.
Footer — 225 px "Distributed by," your business name, your city/state/ZIP and website, the roast date, and the ingredient statement. A QR block sits inset at the top right of this footer.
The bottom 35 px of the label is left clear, so your background shows below the footer.
Clear area
Keep your logo and any critical artwork inside the top 865 pixels (about 2.88″).
Leave breathing room at the bottom of that zone. The footer grows upward when its text runs long — a long business name or a long website address will push it higher than the measurements above. Design assuming it may encroach.
What you control, and what the app controls
You control
- The background image
- Your coffee name for each product
- Tasting notes, up to 90 characters
- Font, from 20 available options
- Block color, as a 6-digit hex value
- Text case, uppercase or mixed
The app controls
- Layout and the position of every block
- Type sizing, alignment, and fitting
- The content and formatting of the info grid and footer
Typography and layout are not adjustable. A designer cannot supply a finished label, reposition an element, or substitute a typeface outside the 20 available. Send us the background; the app does the rest.
One design across your catalog
Your default label applies to every coffee you sell. Set it once.
Any individual coffee can be given its own background as an override. Your label library holds up to 20 saved designs, with one active at a time, so seasonal swaps are a single click.
All bag sizes share one label
12 oz, 2 lb, and 5 lb use the identical 3″ × 5″ label at the same dimensions. Net weight is text the app fills in per order. You do not need a separate design per size.
Proofing is your responsibility
JavaMania does not review, test, or proof partner artwork. We do not open your files, check your dimensions, or confirm that your design works before it goes to print. There is no approval step and no design review, by us or by anyone on our behalf.
You are responsible for loading your background into Partner Connect yourself and verifying the result. The app gives you the tools to do it:
- Upload your background on the Label Design screen.
- Set your font, block color, and text case.
- Click Download Proof. This renders a full-resolution PNG through the same engine that produces the printed label.
- Review that proof at full size. Confirm your artwork is not stretched, that nothing important is hidden behind the name band, grid, or footer, and that your text is legible against your background.
- Repeat until the proof is right.
Check the proof, not the on-screen preview. The preview is a layout approximation. The proof is what prints.
Anything visible in the proof will print. Once your label is active it applies to every order immediately, so verify before you publish.
