    Fair Trade Organic Ethiopian Yirgacheffe

Fragrant and floral with wine and fruit overtones, the Yirgacheffe is one of the most prized East African coffees. It has a smooth medium body and long, lingering finish.
Offering a softly fragrant aroma, these coffee beans have a subtle floral scent and a satisfyingly intensified finish that would leave any coffee drinker's palate wanting more.

The Hase Haro cooperative resides in the Wenago district of Yirgacheffe. The coop has approximately 2735 members and average farm altitude ranges from 1450-2000 masl. Hase Haro is part of the Yirgacheffe Coffee Farmer's Cooperatives Union (YCFCU) which was established in June of 2002. YCFCU started with 13 cooperatives and has since grown to 28 unions with almost 45,000 producers supporting over 350,000 families.

I miss the Javamania that was a local roaster.

I miss the Javamania that was a local roaster where I could talk to real people and pick up my coffee in person. Now that they've become another BOT I'll probably go back to the fine roasters I used to use in Oregon and Washington. At least with them I can still get someone on the telephone!
BE CAREFUL ORDERING FROM THE BOT
Yirgacheffe is a great lighter / medium coffee (5stars) with excellent notes when I grind it the way I like it; but somehow I accidentally ordered it ground and could not get Javamania to correct the error even though I messaged them right after I saw the confirmation. The grind was a bit too fine for me.

I prefer to grind my own beans as for pour overs. Very unfortunate that I have 2 lbs of ground now. It's really not as good. I may use it camping when I drip coffee but it may never get used up.

We've fixed your review for you:

I ordered one of my favorite coffees from JavaMania on a Saturday through their web site (which is great, because we used to only be able to order when someone was in the shop!) When I placed the order, I mistakenly select 'Ground' rather than the 'Whole Bean' I usually prefer. I reached out to JavaMania but they didn't see my email until after they had already roasted and shipped my order on Monday morning (delivered on Tuesday!) Maybe they should have a bot auto-responding to requests so that there aren't these human-related delays commonly seen with small local roasters.

They acknowledged the communications overlap and gave me a discount for a future order without me even asking, even though it was my mistake and I can certainly drink the coffee I received! This family-owned business is great and I appreciate everything they do.

    My absolute favorite !

I have loved this coffee for more than 12 years.
I moved out of state and thought I had lost my morning best friend forever. To my delight I am able to order it online. Life is good...
